Job Description And Duties Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 11, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. (INSERT FOR PART-TIME OR INTERMITTENT EMPLOYEES) Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period. Limited Term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent. Please be advised of the following additional pay benefit individuals may be eligible for: Employees who are employed at HIGH DESERT STATE PRISON (HDSP) for 12 consecutive qualifying pay periods will receive an annual $2600 recruitment and retention bonus. Under the supervision of the Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, Correctional Facility (CF), the Laboratory Assistant, CF performs standardized non-technical laboratory procedures in collecting and processing laboratory specimens, materials, and supplies. Assists in operating specialized laboratory equipment; complies with all the applicable State and federal laws and regulations and departmental policies and procedures pertaining to the laboratory. Maintains order, supervises the conduct of incarcerated, and protects and maintains the safety of persons and property. Minimum Qualifications Positions performing phlebotomy duties must possess
