Chemours is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to join our Quality team at our Corpus Christi, TX site in Ingleside, TX . This position reports to the Quality Manager . The Laboratory Supervisor leads day-to-day laboratory operations in support of manufacturing, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and reliability. This role provides direct supervision to shift and day laboratory technicians; ensures compliance with laboratory and safety procedures; and upholds expectations for housekeeping, attendance, and operational discipline. The supervisor is accountable for timely communication across the team; effective response to personnel, laboratory, safety, and quality incidents; and completion of laboratory work in accordance with approved methods and procedures. Administrative responsibilities include timekeeping approval, overtime approval, and ensuring adequate staffing and laboratory coverage. This position partners closely with laboratory technicians, technical, quality, operations, and maintenance teams to deliver accurate analytical results—efficiently and on time. The Laboratory Supervisor drives safety and performance of the laboratory and ensures that ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 requirements are followed. This position is responsible for advancing and supporting business expectations, and continuous improvement goals. Success in this role requires developing team members, executing daily priorities, advancing improvement initiatives, and improving laboratory asset reliability. Key responsibilities include: Ensure laboratory compliance with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, and site safety management policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure compliance with EPA AIM Act including maintenance of AHRI Refrigerant Testing Laboratory certification and coordination of AIM sample testing. Partner with Operations, Technology, and Maintenance to prioritize work, coordinate sampling plans, align staffing, and drive improvement. Lead a team in a 24/7 manufacturing environment by setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and reinforcing strong operational discipline. Respond to and escalate personnel, laboratory, safety, and quality incidents in accordance with site requirements. Operate the laboratory safely and in an environmentally responsible manner while supporting quality, cost, and continuous improvement objectives. Troubleshoot operational issues using structured problem-solving methods. Oversee laboratory activities including troubleshooting, test method management, instrument calibration, and method/equipment validation (including MSA). Manage lab projects end-to-end (prioritize work, assign tasks, track progress, and meet timeline/quality goals). Review calibration and preventive maintenance records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Complete administrative leadership tasks such as time entry/approval, overtime and vacation approvals, and schedule/coverage management. Manage Laboratory specific software including LIMS, SAP, and Instrument Processing software. Lead and participate in Lean Manufacturing Practices including Daily Management, Leader Standard Works, 6S, Kaizen, A3 problem solving, and implement and utilize other Lean Manufacturing tools in the laboratory. Assist in Research and Development experimentation at the site level to help troubleshoot systems or implement new methodologies within the laboratory.
