Teledyne Brown has expertise in systems integration, technology development, hardware design, prototype development, system test and evaluation, advanced manufacturing, performance-based logistics solutions, and operations and maintenance Job Summary Operates laboratory equipment and supports day-to-day laboratory processes to ensure reliable radiological gas analysis operations. Performs routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of specialized instrumentation and supporting systems, including gas chromatographs, vacuum systems, pressure measurement equipment, and radiological gas separation and measurement equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (other duties may be assigned): Operate laboratory processing equipment; follow written laboratory procedures and technical manuals to accurately record data from received environmental air samples, perform gas separation, and process samples in multiple laboratory sections. Analyze and report measurement results obtained using specialized radiological counting instruments. Perform calibrations and basic preventive maintenance routines. Communicate data findings to management and technical staff. Track inventory usage and notify appropriate personnel as inventory needs arise. Maintain good laboratory housekeeping standards. Maintain knowledge of safety policies and applicable environmental, health, and safety standards; consistently perform assigned duties in a safe manner. Perform End-of-Day Safety/Security procedures. Complete all work assignments with a high level of personal accountability, teamwork, initiative, and quality. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Technical aptitude to operate specialized laboratory and radiological gas analysis equipment. Ability to read, follow, and clearly communicate written technical procedures, manuals, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail with accurate data recording, documentation, and adherence to established methods. Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and maintain throughput across multiple laboratory sections. Effective interpersonal skills and teamwork for daily coordination with other laboratory areas and technical staff. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment and a proactive approach to problem solving. Commitment to safety and security requirements, including consistent use of safe work practices and compliance with EHS standards. Vocational or Technical Certification in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of direct production within a technical environment or a scientific laboratory is preferred. An associate's degree or 2 years of college-level science-related coursework and direct experience is highly preferred. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with other employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and
