Job Description
Incredible Health is seeking a dedicated Labor & Delivery Nurse to join our network of healthcare professionals supporting leading hospitals and birthing centers in the Healthcare & Medical Services industry. As part of a technology-driven organization focused on quality and efficiency, you will deliver safe, evidence-based care to laboring patients and newborns while leveraging innovative digital tools that streamline communication, documentation, and care coordination. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods. You will perform thorough maternal and fetal assessments, initiate and titrate medications such as oxytocin according to established protocols, monitor fetal heart rate tracings, and respond promptly to changes in maternal or fetal status. You will assist obstetric providers during vaginal and operative deliveries, support emergency interventions for complications such as hemorrhage, preeclampsia, and non-reassuring fetal status, and participate actively in neonatal stabilization in collaboration with the pediatric or neonatal team. You will serve as a central point of support and communication for patients and their families, offering education on the birthing process, pain management options, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care. You will advocate for patient preferences within the context of clinical safety, provide culturally sensitive care, and foster a calm, reassuring environment during what can be a high-intensity and emotional experience. Using electronic health record systems and other digital platforms, you will document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in real time, helping to improve clinical quality and operational efficiency. Working closely with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, pediatric and neonatal specialists, and ancillary staff, you will participate in interdisciplinary care planning and handoffs to ensure seamless transitions of care. You will adhere to infection control and patient safety standards, follow hospital policies and evidence-based guidelines, and engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives related to perinatal outcomes, patient satisfaction, and workflow optimization. In keeping with Incredible Health’s culture of innovation, you may also provide feedback on digital tools and processes that enhance the hiring and staffing experience for both clinicians and facilities. This position is well-suited for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is committed to continuous learning, professional growth, and high-quality patient outcomes. You should be comfortable managing multiple patients with varying acuity, prioritizing care under pressure, and responding rapidly to obstetric emergencies while maintaining clear, compassionate communication. Incredible Health supports your career advancement through exposure to leading healthcare organizations, access to a broad network of opportunities, and a platform that values both clinical excellence and technological innovation.
