Your energetic approach will help create a a connection with customers and ensuring they have a memorable shopping experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills in a lively market environment while spreading joy through our fun and unique Must be available Saturdays 6:45- 3:00 - at least every other Saturday, Possibly more Occasional Tuesdays and Fridays - May have opportunity to work in our other business, The Glazing Sun, Pottery Painting parties and Studio help Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to foster a welcoming shopping environment Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts - Square Be outgoing and personable with customers Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized for easy customer access Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, rotating stock, and tracking product levels regularly Communicate effectively with owner about stock needs, customer inquiries, and sales strategies Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or providing information about products or market hours A plus would be interest in Marketing // Social Media Creation Experience Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in retail stores Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership roles within the team Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math ensures smooth transactions Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers confidently Experience upselling techniques, merchandising, and stock management will set you up for success in this dynamic role Join us to be part of a lively market environment where your enthusiasm and skills directly impact the community.
