Job Title: Survey Technician Job Description We are currently seeking a dedicated Survey Technician to join our dynamic team in Miami. You will have the opportunity to work on both small and large-scale projects, performing Alta, Boundary, and Topo surveying, as well as preparing site or building information models and CAD deliverables. The projects include a variety of commercial, retail, and residential properties throughout the local region and across Florida. Responsibilities Collect field data for the preparation of surveys by utilizing surveying equipment and software. Effectively interpret reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, and aerial photographs to assess project needs and assist in the project approach. Assist in the recovery of survey control and monumentation, construction layout, obtaining invert and subsurface utility information, and photo documentation of the project area. Recommend innovative approaches and ideas to continuously improve efficiency and the quality of services provided. Essential Skills Proficiency in CAD and computer skills including Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Terramodel. Experience in topographic, boundary, utility survey, and construction layout. Ability to set up a total station and tripod. Proficient mathematical ability. Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical and judgment capabilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well individually and in groups. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related field is a plus. Experience with GPS is a plus. Must have a valid driver's license in good standing. Ability to participate in fieldwork and work during evenings and/or weekends, when necessary. Travel to project sites and/or client locations as required. Work Environment You will split your time between the office (20%) and field (80%). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
