Capital Landscapes is seeking a hardworking, dependable, and experienced Landscape Crew Foreman to lead landscape installation and enhancement crews throughout Metro Detroit. This position is responsible for overseeing daily job site operations, managing crew members, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can manage both people and projects while working alongside the crew in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Lead and manage landscape installation crews on a daily basis Oversee projects including planting, mulch, grading, sod, drainage, hardscape prep, irrigation assistance, and general landscape improvements Ensure jobs are completed on schedule and according to company quality standards Read job scopes, layouts, and plans and communicate expectations clearly to crew members Operate trucks, trailers, skid steers, mini skids, excavators, and landscaping equipment safely Load/unload materials, tools, and equipment daily Maintain clean and organized trucks, trailers, and job sites Perform basic equipment inspections and maintenance Communicate with management regarding job progress, material needs, delays, or issues Take before, during, and after photos of projects as required Ensure crews follow safety procedures and maintain professionalism on site Assist with training and developing crew members Requirements: Prior landscape or construction foreman experience preferred Valid driver’s license required Chauffeur’s license preferred or ability to obtain Ability to tow trailers and operate equipment safely Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor daily Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required Preferred Experience: Landscape installation Hardscape prep and grading Drainage systems Sod installation Planting and bed layout Equipment operation Irrigation knowledge is a plus Compensation & Benefits: Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Company growth opportunities Hands-on leadership role within a fast-growing company Potential year-round work opportunities including snow operations and off-season projects About Capital Landscapes: Capital Landscapes is a fast-growing, full-service landscape company serving residential, commercial, and municipal clients throughout Metro Detroit.
