Position Overview Whidbey Island Landscaping is seeking a skilled Landscape Technician to execute hardscape, landscape lighting, and irrigation projects.This is not a general labor or maintenance position.You will be building patios, installing lighting systems, and constructing irrigation systems.You are expected to execute assigned scopes independently and to a high standard.Key Responsibilities Hardscape Construction Build patios, walkways, and outdoor living areas Construct retaining walls Perform grading, base preparation, compaction, and drainage Complete finish work including jointing and edge restraints Landscape Lighting Install low-voltage lighting systems Run wiring, connect transformers, and set controllers Position and aim fixtures for proper coverage Troubleshoot and repair systems Irrigation Systems Install irrigation systems including mainline, laterals, and valves Install and adjust sprinkler heads and drip systems Program controllers and test system performance Perform startups, winterization, and repairs General Installation Execute site work including grading, drainage, and planting Operate equipment (skid steer, excavator, compactor, trencher) Work from plans and project scope Maintain organized and professional job sites Systems; Documentation Utilize Jobber for time tracking and job documentation Record progress with notes and photos Qualifications Minimum 3 years of landscape construction or installation experience Experience in at least two of the following:hardscape, irrigation, landscape lighting Ability to operate construction and landscaping equipment Ability to complete assigned scopes without supervision Strong problem-solving ability in the field Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required) Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Compensation; Schedule $30 per hour Full-time position Consistent schedule with varied project work All equipment, tools, and materials provided Opportunity to grow into estimating and project leadership roles Pay:$29.00 - $30.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
