Laundry Aide Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team at Nexus of Alton in Alton, IL.As a Laundry Aide, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facility by ensuring that patient laundry is processed and distributed efficiently and effectively.Responsibilities Wash, dry, and fold patient laundry in accordance with established procedures Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry area Ensure that all laundry is properly sorted, labeled, and stored Operate industrial laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines Fold and package laundry in a timely and efficient manner Maintain accurate records of laundry processed, including tracking and reporting any issues or concerns Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following safety protocols and procedures Requirements 1 years of experience in a healthcare setting (training provided) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
