Job Description

The Lead serves a dual role providing patient care directly as a clinician and acting as a lead; establishing and improving communication and collaboration with related departments within the continuum of care within the sports medicine program to enhance shared knowledge between clinicians and departments, so as to promote clinical excellence throughout. In addition, the Outreach Lead is responsible for assisting in the data collection and interpretation of clinical outcomes for Mercy Sports Medicine. The Outreach Lead assumes supervisory duties as delegated by Manager and or Administrative Director. Serves as a resource for the leadership team with oversight of departmental policy, compliance and key financial indicators. The Lead serves as a clinical mentor to new and existing staff and assists in providing relevant educational and treatment tools to enhance clinical excellence. The Lead plays a key role assisting with optimization of performance and adoption of best practices between all members of the team and all departments within the orthopedic rehabilitation division. The Lead will serve as a liaison between the clinic and hospital based departments and their staff, working to improve relations and collaboration to promote improved patient outcomes, performing in a manner consistent with our Mercy mission, values, and service standards. Position Details: Qualifications Education: Graduate of athletic training program from accredited college or university. Licensure: State of practice licensure or eligible for Athletic Trainer is required. Experience: None. Certification/Registration: Certification through the Board of Certification, Inc. Professional Rescuer CPR or its equivalent.
