Join Our Team as an Audio Visual Technician Make an impact behind the scenes at unforgettable events Location: In Person Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $18.00 – $24.00/hour (based on experience) + Show Bonuses Are you someone who loves being behind the scenes, making live events come to life with cutting-edge audio, video, and lighting? Do you enjoy working in fast-paced environments where no two days are the same? If so, OAV is looking for you! We’re hiring a hands-on, detail-oriented Audio Visual Technician to join our team. You’ll help deliver exceptional events and productions by managing equipment, supporting warehouse operations, and providing on-site AV expertise across a variety of settings. Whether you're already experienced in AV or looking to build a long-term career in the field, we provide the tools, training, and growth opportunities to help you succeed. What You'll Do Transport, set up, and install AV equipment including cameras, lighting, monitors, speakers, and support gear Drive company vehicles (vans and trucks) to transport equipment to event sites (we’ll help you earn your MDOT and Chauffeur’s License if you don’t have it) Assist in executing event setups based on layout diagrams and schedules Maintain and organize warehouse inventory, ensuring all rental gear is event-ready Troubleshoot and test AV systems pre- and post-show to ensure smooth, flawless events Build strong working relationships with clients, production teams, and event staff Clean, maintain, and occasionally repair AV gear and warehouse equipment Safely disassemble and store equipment post-event Qualifications Working knowledge of professional audio visual equipment and event production practices Strong understanding of professional audio systems , especially speaker systems, amplifiers, consoles, and signal flow Experience with JBL professional PA systems preferred Working knowledge of video and lighting systems preferred, with the ability to assist across disciplines when needed Ability to troubleshoot audio, video, lighting, and cabling issues efficiently Comfortable working both in a warehouse and onsite at events Ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (Chauffeur’s License preferred, but not required to start) Box truck experience is a plus Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and long event days as needed A team player who’s flexible, communicative, and customer-service oriented Experience with concert-level audio systems and live event sound production is required Why You'll Love Working Here Paid training & certifications (Chauffeur’s license, MDOT, etc.) Show bonuses and opportunities to travel nationwide for high-profile events A tight-knit, supportive team that values creativity, problem-solving, and professionalism Health, dental, and vision insurance + PTO A career path that grows with you — whether you want to specialize in AV, move into production management, or explore technical roles Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Bonus pay for overnight events/shows Opportunities for travel Consistent day shift with evening/weekend flexibility as needed Apply Today!
