Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee of Downtown Tampa is looking for an energetic, reliable, and customer-focused Lead Barista & Driver to help operate our mobile coffee truck at events throughout the Tampa area. This role involves driving the truck to event locations, preparing handcrafted beverages, leading event operations, and creating a fun and welcoming customer experience. Responsibilities also include stocking and organizing the truck at our commissary, filling fresh water tanks, emptying grey water, cleaning and sanitizing the truck and equipment, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring the truck is fully event-ready at all times. The Lead Barista & Driver will work independently at smaller events and alongside other baristas during larger activations. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well in fast-paced environments, has strong attention to detail, enjoys interacting with people, and takes pride in maintaining high operational and cleanliness standards. REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record Comfortable driving and operating a large mobile beverage truck/van Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and evenings based on event schedule Ability to lift 40–50 lbs regularly and work in outdoor Florida weather conditions Strong customer service and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume event environments Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness standards Willingness to assist with truck prep, stocking, inventory tracking, cleaning, sanitizing, water tank filling, and grey water disposal Team-oriented mindset and ability to lead or work alongside other baristas during larger events Food service, barista, hospitality, catering, or event experience preferred but not required Must maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing the Travelin’ Tom’s brand Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck brings a bold, on-the-go caffeine experience to your neighborhood.
