Job Summary Be on the ground floor of Fredericksburg's NEW Sushi restaurant! Fun vibe and exciting launch. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring a high standard of hospitality for our guests. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their experience. Operate Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling. Manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure timely service while maintaining quality standards. Adhere to food safety and handling regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary. Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer. Qualifications Previous bartending experience in a craft cocktail, fine dining or nightclub setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits along with brewing techniques is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales transactions. Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices within the food industry. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities. Experience in retail math is advantageous for managing inventory levels efficiently. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
