Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Building Automation Technician with strong technical expertise in Distech Controls and Tridium Niagara (N4) platforms.The ideal candidate will oversee BAS installations, service, commissioning, and system optimization while serving as the go-to technical expert for junior technicians and project teams.This role requires deep hands-on controls knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead in the field. Key Responsibilities Field Leadership & Mentorship Lead a team of BAS technicians on installation, startup, programming, and commissioning of control systems Provide on-site guidance, quality control, and training to ensure technical standards and best practices are met Assist project managers with coordination, task scheduling, and progress tracking Technical Execution Program, configure, and commission Distech Controls (EC-Net, ECL Series) and Tridium Niagara N4 systems Create and edit graphics, logic sequences, alarms, and trend logs to meet project requirements Integrate BAS systems with third-party equipment via BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and IP networking Troubleshoot HVAC equipment, VAVs, AHUs, chillers, boilers, sensors, and field devices Customer Support & Communication Serve as a primary technical contact during project execution and service visits Collaborate with building owners, facility staff, and mechanical contractors to diagnose issues and optimize system performance Provide clear and timely updates, documentation, and service reports Quality, Safety & Documentation Ensure installations follow company standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices Review and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control schematics Maintain accurate records of programming, commissioning, and field changes Qualifications & Requirements 3-7 years of experience in building automation , controls , or HVAC systems Proficiency with Distech Controls (EC-Net/EC-BOS) and Tridium Niagara (N4) programming and commissioning Strong understanding of HVAC sequences, control theory, and energy management strategies Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and IP-based communication networks Ability to lead field teams and coordinate multiple tasks Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills Valid driver's license; ability to work at customer sites as required Preferred Skills Niagara N4 Certification (N4 TCP) or Distech Controls Certification Experience with analytics tools, dashboards, or cloud-based monitoring platforms Ability to read/write low-voltage wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus for customer-facing work Pay:$45.00 - $55.00 per hour Benefits: Relocation assistance Work Location:Hybrid remote in Miami, FL 33122.
