Role: Lead Business Analyst Location: Reston, VA-hybrid Job Type: Contract to Hire Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to drive the identification, analysis, and documentation of business requirements for complex systems, processes, and software solutions. This role acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions align with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Lead requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, validation, and management for high-complexity projects. Translate business needs into functional and non-functional specifications. Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement review sessions. Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior analysts. Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, execution, and defect resolution. Identify system gaps, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate on effective solutions. Develop clear, structured documentation aligned with organizational standards. Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of milestones. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide end-user training and support. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). In lieu of a Bachelor''s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience. Strong, hands-on Lead Business Analyst with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to translate complex, ambiguous problems into clear, actionable requirements. Strong expertise in requirements management and business analysis methodologies. Deep understanding of SAFe/Agile methodologies with proven experience in backlog management, prioritization, and refinement in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams. Solid technical and data acumen; ability to work effectively with engineering, data teams, and complex systems while focusing on business value and risk mitigation. Proactive, self-driven professional who takes initiative, anticipates dependencies, and drives work forward independently. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
