A Lead Cabinet Shop Technician (or Lead Cabinet Maker) is a hands-on, working supervisor responsible for managing daily shop operations, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, and meeting production deadlines.They interpret blueprints, mentor production staff, enforce safety regulations, and frequently fabricate custom cabinets.Rippling +4Key Responsibilities Production Leadership:Fabricate, assemble, and finish custom cabinets and millwork while overseeing the production workflow to eliminate bottlenecks.Quality Control:Ensure all finished products meet high quality standards, blueprints, and design specifications.Technical Guidance:Read and interpret complex shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders to create cut lists and build strategies.Team Supervision:Train, mentor, and support staff members on proper techniques, machinery use, and safety procedures.Material & Inventory Control:Coordinate material usage, maintain inventory, and report equipment maintenance needs.Shop Safety & Organization:Maintain a clean, safe, and organized, OSHA-compliant, workshop environment.Rippling +6 Required Qualifications & Skills Experience:5years of experience in custom cabinet making, custom millwork, or high-end cabinetry fabrication.Technical Knowledge:Proficiency in woodworking machinery, tools, finishing techniques (sanding, staining, varnishing), and CAD/shop drawings.Leadership:Proven experience leading a team, managing projects, and implementing, as seen on Indeed, or on Glassdoor.Physical Ability:Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.Education:High School Diploma/GED, with vocational or technical certification in woodworking preferred.Rippling +4 Key Performance Indicators Reduction in material waste and rework.Projects completed on time and within budget.Improvement in team skills and adherence to safety protocols.Rippling +2 Job Type:Full-time Pay:$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
