Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Lead Delivery Driver/ Sales Associate to join our team! This role combines the excitement of direct customer interaction with the responsibility of delivering products efficiently and safely. As a key member of our team, you will lead route driving operations, provide exceptional customer service, and actively promote sales through effective upselling. Your leadership skills and driving expertise will ensure timely deliveries, satisfied customers, and a smooth operation that supports our company’s growth and success. Responsibilities Drive commercial delivery vehicles along designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. Lead by example in route driving, demonstrating excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers professionally, answering questions, and addressing concerns during deliveries. Promote products and services through upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities at each delivery point. Organize and merchandise products on delivery vehicles for efficient loading and unloading, ensuring proper heavy lifting techniques are used to prevent injury. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, sales transactions, and route logs; communicate effectively with dispatch and management. Assist in training new team members on delivery procedures, customer interaction, and safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record; familiarity with route driving is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Basic math skills for pricing calculations and transaction handling. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when loading or unloading products. Excellent organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and keep accurate records. Knowledge of merchandising practices to ensure proper product presentation during deliveries. Experience in sales or upselling techniques to enhance customer interactions and increase revenue. A background in the military is a plus, demonstrating discipline, organizational skills, and leadership qualities.
