Position Summary and Objective The Executive Protection Team Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day executive protection operations for a high-profile client while leading and managing a team of protective agents. This role combines hands-on executive protection responsibilities with operational leadership, personnel coordination, scheduling oversight, and client relationship management. The Lead, Executive Protection Agent serves as the primary on-site leader responsible for maintaining operational standards, ensuring mission readiness, and delivering high-quality protective services in dynamic environments. This position requires strong leadership, sound judgment, operational maturity, and the ability to manage both people and protective operations under pressure. The position is based in a designated geographic region of San Jose, CA and may require domestic and international travel. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and supervise executive protection personnel assigned to the detail. Manage daily team operations, assignments, schedules, timecards, time off, and coverage requirements. Act as the main reviewer and approve all timecards and time off each week. Ensure operational readiness, professionalism, and compliance with company standards. Serve as the primary liaison between the client, agents, and company leadership. Conduct briefings, debriefings, and operational coordination meetings. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new personnel. Foster a professional, accountable, and team-oriented culture. Executive Protection Operations Provide close protection and protective security services during domestic and international assignments. Conduct local area advances, route assessments, venue reviews, and contingency planning. Coordinate protective movements, transportation logistics, and emergency response planning. Maintain situational awareness and identify potential vulnerabilities or threats. Respond appropriately to emergencies, medical incidents, and evolving security concerns. De-escalate tense situations while maintaining professionalism and discretion. Ensure client safety, comfort, confidentiality, and operational continuity. Administrative & Operational Responsibilities Prepare mission plans, incident reports, expense reports, and after-action documentation. Communicate operational updates, vulnerabilities, and concerns to leadership promptly. Oversee operational equipment, communications systems, and vehicle readiness. Identify operational deficiencies and implement corrective actions when necessary. Ensure compliance with all licensing, reporting, and regulatory requirements. All other duties, as assigned. Competencies and Attributes Excellent verbal and written communication; second language skills preferred. Defensive driving tactics training and experience. Demonstrated experience developing relationships on assignments. Ability to maintain composure with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public under urgency and pressure. Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Qualifications and Education Required Qualifications 7+ years of executive protection experience with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience. Experience managing teams, schedules, and operational logistics in a client-facing environment. Advanced knowledge of protective operations, advances, surveillance detection, and contingency planning. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills. Ability to
