Responsibilities Lead and assist with tool and equipment readiness for Field Installation teams, ensuring all personnel are fully equipped to execute jobs efficiently and safely. Direct inventorying and packing of tool sets. Establish processes for replenishment, inspection, and repair of returned tools and equipment such as welders, generators, damaged tool boxes, etc. Perform safety audits on all Field Installation safety equipment such as lifting equipment and fall restraint systems or fall protection. Ensure MHE is checked before shipment (water in battery, fully charged, good working order). Host/lead a whiteboard stand-up daily meeting with clear direction to other team members regarding task list for the day as well as safety reminders. Coordinate and supervise custom packaging solutions, including the design and construction of specialized pallets and crates to support safe and efficient transport. Provide technical skills and leadership in fabrication operations, supporting both Field Installation and Production teams. Oversee fabrication of steel and sheet metal components using shop equipment (shear, brake, ironworker, etc.). Ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements. Assist with securing specialized equipment for shipment. Drive continuous improvement efforts in facility to enhance productivity, efficiency, and workflow optimization. Update tools database with incoming and outgoing shipments. Handle general maintenance requests as directed by Field Installation Supervisor and Manager. Lead safe operation practices for material handling and lift equipment, promoting a culture of safety and accountability. Oversee warehouse organization and inventory control, ensuring optimal layout, accessibility, and stock accuracy. Implement and maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organization. Promote team collaboration and accountability, serving as a point of guidance and support for team members while modeling strong self-management practices. Ensure adherence to company policies, including attendance, safety procedures, and operational standards. Provide operational flexibility and leadership support, including coordinating overtime, weekends, and holiday coverage as required. Ability to manage your workload based off a shipping and receiving schedule. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements : A high school diploma or GED equivalent. At least five (5) years of experience in mechanical assembly and fabricating miscellaneous mechanical parts. Previous experience building specialized pallets and crates. Previous experience with a database/inventory management system. Previous experience ordering specialized equipment for shipment. Proficient with powered tools, forklifts, and vertical lifts. Previous experience with the operation of lift equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft office software (Excel, Outlook, Word). Ability to edit/modify spreadsheets.
