Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Lead Infant Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire the next generation. Your expertise in childhood development, behavior management, and early intervention will ensure each child’s unique needs are met with care and professionalism. Responsibilities Lead daily classroom activities focused on infant and toddler development, including play-based learning, literacy education, and physical activities. Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in line with best practices such as Montessori and other educational philosophies. Manage classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and individualized lesson plans to support children’s developmental milestones. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support ongoing child welfare and early intervention needs. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality childcare and classroom management standards are maintained. Conduct assessments of children’s progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that complies with licensing regulations and promotes positive childhood experiences. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a classroom setting, especially with infants and toddlers. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development methods including literacy education, math integration, physical education, and Montessori approaches. Prior experience in preschool or daycare environments; private school experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and community partners. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing insights when necessary. Demonstrated classroom management skills that foster a nurturing yet structured environment. Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development encouraged.
