Title: Lead Installation Technician Focus Areas: Tech Projects (Pre-wires, Installs, Infills, and Renovations) Direct Leader: Manager of Tech Installation Job Description: The Game Technology department is responsible for technical production, installation (deployments), and development. The Lead Installation Technician has the integral responsibility of Delivering Epic Interactive Experiences to our guests through the successful installation of our product. This role will be assigned as Project Leadership to on-site prewires, installations, renovations, and other miscellaneous special projects The Escape Game performs. Pay & Benefits: $18-22/hr Starting compensation based on experience Regular 5 hours of weekly overtime Eligible for HQ Bonus Eligible for TEG HQ Full Time Benefits as outlined here. 7 Paid Holidays + 15 PTO Days (20 PTO after 5 years of service) Hours & Schedule: Expected Weekly Hours: 40 - 45 while in-office, 70+ hours weekly while traveling Travel Expectations: Frequent (90-100% of the workload) Trips are up to 23 days consecutively, 10.5 hour working days (minus break) Trips are local and out-of-state. Travel is paid for by The Escape Game. Expected Schedule: Office: Monday - Friday (day shift) Installation: Monday - Friday plus weekends (Dayshift / Midshift / Nightshift - depends on installation schedule, weekend work often includes accompanying rest/off days during the upcoming workweek) Emergency Travel: As needed, could include nights & weekends with extended hours On-the-job training takes about 6-8 months before being assigned a spot as project lead. Oncall: Yes Job Responsibilities: Product Deployment Travel on Tech Projects : Installations / Prewires / Renovations / Special Projects Perform Various Onsite Tasks - Examples Below Run Cable Terminate and Test Game Components and Control Panels Terminate and Test Fire Access Control Systems and Equipment Terminate and Test Audio / Video Systems Terminate and Test IT Systems Troubleshoot issues that arise Be the point person for all assigned tech projects Create the initial wire plan during the prewire for new stores while keeping in line with TEG standards Wire Paths, J-hook Placements, etc Review plansets and perform onsite callouts for electrical plan issues Assist the Director of Game Technology with the selection of the project team Lead other assigned members of the tech team and contracted vendors on assigned projects Book travel and order materials for assigned projects Ensure travel packouts are restocked upon returning from a trip Organize and sort returning tech project items Provide detailed kickoff documentation for assigned Projects Travel Plan, Wiring Sheet, Camera / Speaker Layouts, Etc Generate daily work-flow / assignments for onsite Set daily schedule for all technicians on-site Host and take notes during a project debrief meeting Maintain and coordinate the execution of the list of necessary post-project action items generated from the aforementioned debrief meeting Communicate tech daily progress, concerns, and needs to site-pm and leadership Perform component builds on occasion to stay fresh on the process Train / coach / develop Team Members on project policies, workflow, and skills Job Requirements : On the job training for skills without prior knowledge/experience A love for escape rooms and interactive media Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Contagiously positive, can-do attitude Loves to “win” Strong communication skills - written, on the phone, in-person Experience leading others in an informal structure Project management experience Proficient at spreadsheets & document creation General business acumen Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds individually Able to stand, walk, climb ladders, and navigate tight spaces for extended periods of time Understanding of production and fabrication processes including CNC, Carpentry, Scenic, Paint, and Controls Technology Understanding of architectural floor plans and general construction processes Training can take between 6
