Job Description
Lead Installer Plumbing & HVAC Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour Job description: Job Overview The HVAC and Plumbing Foreman is responsible for leading field installation teams, coordinating work with project management and other trades, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality mechanical installations on schedule and within budget. The Foreman serves as the primary field leader and problem solver while maintaining productivity, craftsmanship, and accountability across the crew. In addition to field leadership, the Foreman is responsible for accurate and timely job documentation, including daily reports, manpower tracking, material coordination, safety documentation, and recording project progress to ensure proper communication, project accountability, and compliance with company and project requirements. Essential Functions Lead and supervise HVAC and plumbing field crews to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality installations. Interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings to plan and direct field work. Coordinate daily activities with project management, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades. Assign tasks, manage manpower, and maintain crew productivity to meet project schedules. Ensure all work complies with mechanical and plumbing codes, project specifications, and company quality standards. Identify field issues or conflicts and implement practical solutions to prevent schedule impacts. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements while promoting a strong safety culture. Maintain accurate and timely job documentation, including daily reports, manpower tracking, delays, and progress updates. Coordinate materials, equipment, and deliveries necessary to support jobsite operations. Mentor and develop apprentices and journeymen to strengthen workforce capability. Conduct regular jobsite inspections to ensure workmanship and installation quality meet company standards. Participate in project planning meetings and provide field input on constructability and scheduling. Track project progress and communicate status updates, risks, or delays to project management. Maintain an organized and professional jobsite environment that promotes safety and productivity. Assist with project inspections, testing, and commissioning of HVAC and plumbing systems. Review and address punch list items to ensure timely project completion. Promote teamwork and maintain professional working relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors and internal teams. Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of systems installed (As-Builts). Conducts plumbing system orientation for owners when applicable (Owner’s Walk-Throughs). Responsible for the efficient use, safety, and termination of all rental equipment Manages the securement of all Mission Mechanical property on the job site.
