Lead Irrigation Technician

Overview Smart Landcare, Inc, an industry leader in smart irrigation technology is seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscape maintenance and a strong understanding of irrigation systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and water efficiency in various landscapes. The successful candidate will be comfortable working outdoors and possess a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities Repair and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution. Troubleshooting 2-wire & conventional systems. Experience with smart controllers and programming. Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues such as leaks or malfunctions. Repair or replace damaged components of irrigation systems using hand tools and power tools. Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions into overall landscape designs. Dig trenches for piping installation and ensure proper placement of irrigation lines. Provide recommendations for efficient watering practices to clients based on landscape needs. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs and installations. Qualifications Experience in lawn care or landscape maintenance. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to irrigation installation and repair. Mechanical knowledge related to the operation of irrigation systems is highly desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve digging, lifting, and standing for extended periods. A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.
