Job Description
Duties - Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards - Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces - Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients - Ensure that food is stored properly and rotated to maintain freshness - Follow proper food handling and safety procedures - Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils - Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service - Assist in receiving and storing deliveries Qualifications: Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service setting preferred - Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and culinary terminology - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team - Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices - Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Please note that this position may also be referred to as Line Cook or Prep Cook.
