Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Meat Cutter to join our team.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in meat cutting, food preparation, and food safety protocols.As a Lead Meat Cutter, you will oversee daily operations in our meat department, ensure high-quality product standards, and provide exceptional customer service.This role offers an opportunity to lead a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of food handling and safety.Responsibilities Perform precise meat cutting and trimming using various knives and equipment to meet product specifications Oversee daily meat department operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards Prepare and package meat products for retail display or wholesale distribution Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations Assist customers with product selection, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment Train and mentor junior staff on proper meat cutting techniques, safety procedures, and food handling practices Ensure all products meet quality standards before sale or distribution Qualifications Proven experience in meat cutting, food preparation, or related culinary roles within the food industry or restaurant environment Strong knife skills and knowledge of various meat cuts and butchering techniques Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members Previous kitchen or culinary experience is preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Leadership skills with experience supervising or training staff is a plus This position is integral to delivering high-quality products while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.We value professionalism, attention to detail, and a passion for the culinary arts.Pay:$22.00 - $28.00 per hour Benefits:Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Paid training Store discount Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
