Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Operator/Supervisor to oversee construction projects, manage field operations, and ensure the successful execution of work on-site.The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software and tools.This role involves supervising teams, coordinating project activities, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.Responsibilities Lead and supervise construction crews to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope Coordinate daily operations on-site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities Utilize construction management software such as Primavera P6, HeavyBid, ProCore, and Bluebeam for planning, scheduling, and documentation Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce safety protocols across the job site Conduct quality control inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship Manage project budgets, track costs, and assist with construction estimating as needed Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services Use tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting on-site equipment Maintain accurate records of work progress, safety incidents, and project documentation Experience Proven management or supervising experience in demolition, dirt work, utilities or heavy civil projects Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of project scheduling and coordination Minimum 5 years experience in dirt work, demolition, or utilities required Familiarity with construction management software Knowledge of contracts, blueprint reading, schematics, construction estimating, budgeting, and quality control processes OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is highly preferred Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively in a fast-paced environment Hands-on experience with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is a plus Proficient abilities to operate excavators, loaders, skid steers is a requirement Class A CDL is a requirement Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $26.00 per hour Application Question(s):Can you read blueprints proficiently?
