Position Summary BR Systems is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead delivery of our Kentucky Community and Technical College System Job Order Contracting program . This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for planning, coordinating, pricing, and executing multiple commercial construction projects from start to finish. The Project Manager will serve as the primary operational leader for a rolling portfolio of renovation, repair, maintenance, and small construction projects issued under the KCTCS JOC master agreement. This is not a single-project PM role. The Project Manager will manage multiple Job Orders across KCTCS campuses, coordinating with KCTCS Facilities Support Services, college representatives, subcontractors, suppliers, superintendents, and BR Systems leadership to deliver work that is fast, accurate, compliant, and profitable. The ideal candidate is a builder, planner, communicator, and closer. This person must be able to turn loosely defined facility needs into clear scopes of work, accurate pricing, executable schedules, properly managed subcontractor work, and complete closeout packages. Responsibilities The Project Manager will be responsible for: Leading delivery of multiple commercial construction projects across Kentucky Managing Job Orders from initial scope walk through closeout Developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution plans Coordinating site visits, stakeholder meetings, and project walk-throughs Preparing and managing project schedules Overseeing procurement of materials, subcontractors, and equipment Negotiating and managing subcontracts and purchase orders Coordinating and reviewing submittals, RFIs, change documentation, and closeout documents Serving as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including government and institutional clients Working closely with superintendents, estimators, subcontractors, and company leadership Ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract documents Tracking project costs, subcontractor performance, schedule risks, and profitability Maintaining clear communication and strong documentation throughout each project Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of commercial construction project management experience , preferably with renovation, institutional, higher education, government, healthcare, or occupied-facility work. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple small-to-mid-sized projects simultaneously. Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods across multiple trades. Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, change orders, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and closeout. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, scopes of work, contracts, and field conditions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High competence with Microsoft Office, project management software, scheduling tools, and digital documentation systems. Ability to travel to KCTCS campuses and project sites as required. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Job Order Contracting, IDIQ, task-order, on-call, or master agreement construction programs. Experience with RSMeans, Gordian, unit-price books, or construction task catalog pricing. Experience working for or with public owners, universities, community colleges, state agencies, or federal clients.
