Job Description
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid Onsite) Duration: 6 Months Contract-to-Hire STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Lead Quality Test Automation Engineer on behalf of our client in Boston, MA. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Quality Engineering professional to support mission-critical Trading Technology platforms within a fast-paced asset management environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of hands-on automation expertise and technical leadership, contributing both strategically and technically across multiple initiatives. Key Responsibilities Define and drive Quality Engineering strategy across applications and enterprise initiatives Lead end-to-end test planning, design, automation, and execution efforts Build, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and testing best practices Mentor and guide QE engineers across multiple teams and workstreams Collaborate closely with business, product, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions Establish and enforce quality gates, testing standards, and release readiness processes Drive CI/CD integration and continuous testing initiatives Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and stability issues across applications Evaluate and implement AI-assisted testing and automation solutions Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Software Testing Strong hands-on automation experience using Java and BDD/Gherkin frameworks Experience with Playwright for UI automation Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS Strong software engineering and coding fundamentals Proven leadership experience mentoring and guiding QE teams Experience working with AI-assisted development or testing tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Preferred Qualifications Experience within trading technology or asset management environments Exposure to OMS, pre-trade, or post-trade workflows Experience collaborating with distributed onshore/offshore teams Work Environment This is a hybrid onsite role based primarily in Boston, MA.
