What you'll do as a Lead Renewal Technician / Order Management Trainer: Design, develop and implement new training activities/courses/training for both order entry and refills / renewals under the direct supervision of the pharmacy management team. Review / audit / update existing training material and aids. Assist with quality assurance/improvement compliance efforts in auditing training records. Serve as a subject matter expert and coordinator for all pharmacy Order Entry-related reference information, including document management, pharmacy information system, interfaces with electronic health records (eHRs), and client relationship management software. Conduct training for all pharmacists, pharmacy order entry staff, renewal technicians and other pharmacy technicians as needed, ensuring employees perform their work accurately, efficiently, and consistently, in keeping with the company’s policies and procedures. Oversee the Renewal Coordinator department. Participate in analysis and development of departmental processes, as well as the implementation and administration of quality improvement programs. What we need Current unencumbered license in the state of practice: Certified Pharmacy Technician (certification not required for Illinois Pharmacy Technicians licensed before 2008). 3–5 years order-entry experience in either the long-term care or hospital pharmacy environment. Experience in long-term care or hospital pharmacy preferred. Excellent math, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required.
