Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Roofing Mechanic to oversee and execute complex roofing projects with precision and efficiency. In this vital role, you will lead a team of roofing technicians, coordinate installation and repair activities, and ensure all work meets safety standards and quality expectations. Duties Lead and supervise roofing crews, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of projects Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems including flat roofs, shingle roofs, metal roofs, and specialized restoration projects Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation processes Utilize hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively on construction sites Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and project specifications Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to plan work schedules and address any on-site issues promptly Perform heavy lifting, framing, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry work, welding, tile laying, and other related tasks as needed for comprehensive roofing solutions Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating, roofing installation, repair work, and site management Strong knowledge of construction techniques including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, metal stud framing, plumbing integration, masonry work, restoration processes, and remodeling practices Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., hammers, chisels), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), welding equipment, scaffolding setups, and fabrication machinery Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods on construction sites Prior experience working on construction sites with exposure to various trades such as carpentry (including trim carpentry), concrete forming, stucco application, tile laying, caulking techniques, and handyman tasks Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards Knowledge of safety regulations related to roofing operations and construction site protocols Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients alike Join us as a Lead Roofing Mechanic to bring your expertise into dynamic projects that shape the skylines!
