Role: Transformation Lead Scientist Location: Richmond, VA Duration: 12+Months(Contract W2 with Medical clients) Client: Pharma Job Summary: This role is responsible for improving laboratory processes and performance across multiple teams and locations. You will review how labs currently operate, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to make processes faster, more accurate, and compliant . You’ll work across R&D, Analytical Sciences, and Quality labs in a regulated environment (like consumer products or pharma). Key Responsibilities: 1. Process Improvement Analyze current lab processes and workflows Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and duplication Implement better, scalable ways of working 2. Multi-Site Coordination Evaluate lab operations across different locations Assess team skills and identify gaps Align roles, resources, and processes for better efficiency 3. Data & Performance Management Track key metrics (e.g., sample volume, errors, turnaround time) Use data to improve lab performance Drive continuous improvement initiatives 4. Metrics & Systems Setup Build systems to track lab performance Standardize data collection and reporting Enable real-time visibility into lab operations Required Skills: Strong background in chemistry, microbiology, or analytical sciences Experience in process improvement / transformation projects Strong data analysis and metrics tracking skills Experience with tools like LIMS, ELN, dashboards Knowledge of regulated environments (FDA, GMP, ISO, etc.) Good leadership and stakeholder management skills Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a science field (Chemistry, Biology, etc.) 5–10 years of lab experience in a regulated industry (OR) Associate degree + 15+ years of experience Preferred: Master’s or PhD Experience in tobacco, nicotine, or similar industries Experience with lab instruments (chromatography, spectroscopy) Experience leading multi-site or transformation projects Work Environment: Lab-based role (PPE required) Fast-paced environment Exposure to chemicals and lab hazards Kindly share resume at gaurav@stellarconsulting.com or call me at 678-935-7045 to discuss more!
