We are looking for talented people to join our team that are passionate about making a difference and contributing to historical projects that will have a lasting impact on society.Job Summary: In this role you will plan, coordinate and perform structural engineering tasks to produce design and estimates for projects within the Manufacturing and Technology Business Unit. You will develop, evaluate, coordinate or modify design, drawings, specifications and requisitions for precast concrete superstructure and associated components and and other structural works under the supervision of an Engineering Group Supervisor. Major Responsibilities: Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the structural engineering work for a global business unit, a project or staff group to include the preparation of original designs layouts, details, drawings and specifications for buildings, structures and components. Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates Civil/Structural components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) and Design Control Check List (DCCL) and Design Review Notices (DRNs) Designs structures using advanced knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering Determines the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete to ensure appropriate material is used based on load or stress requirements Originates and checks complex structural engineering deliverables, primarily for precast concrete Coordinates design betweent the Home office engineers and subcontractors performing design of precast concrete elements Analyzes problems with conflicting design requirements, sketches ideas and possible solutions Analyzes and reports on the suitability of unconventional materials, techniques and/or difficult coordination requirements Plans, coordinates, or prepares equipment, work and material specifications, bid evaluations and award recommendations Prepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project Civil/Structural requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience A professional engineering license is highly preferred Required Knowledge and Skills: Career-level position within field Considered highly skilled and proficient in precast concrete design Seasoned, exp
