Position Overview: We are searching for an innovative Lead Technician to join Compugen. As the Lead Technician, you will oversee the company’s technical team and all projects they undertake, analyze briefs, write progress reports, identify risks, and develop work schedules. You should be able to work with your team and inspire them to reach their goals. To be successful as a lead technician, you should always be expanding your industry knowledge and be able to quickly identify problems. An outstanding lead technician is accountable, trustworthy, and able to build lasting relationships with their teams. Duration : 12 months Worksite : On-site, Framingham, MA Key Responsibilities: Establish positive relationships and maintain proactive communication with the implementation teams, as well as internal stakeholders. Be the primary point of contact for the Implementation teams during the night of cutover and establish check-in points throughout the night. Check the work performed before the teams are released for the day or night during the remodel project. Develop knowledge articles in the customers’ IT systems, both in product type, models, and installation standards. Ensuring quality standards are met. Create and maintain a repository of customer equipment standards in order share and educate team members. Ensure thorough execution and documentation of customer location site surveys. Including capturing status and pictures of IT equipment, cabling, and floor space. Host briefing meetings with the implementation teams on aligning on project scope and requirements. Reviewing, ensuring, and cross-referencing that the required equipment and material picklists are accurate based on the established scope of work needed. Ensure all equipment has arrived and is stored in a secure location. Communication and follow-up of project requirements, execution standards, and technical installation procedures to technicians and project and delivery management. Daily status check-in review with techs Be the technical liaison with store management and keep them informed of the status of the work being done. Supporting technicians executing onsite installations to customer requirements/standards. Knowledge and understanding of customer cabling and low-voltage wiring requirements and standards. Knowledge of security camera equipment and installations in both a closed ceiling and open ceiling environment. Retail, POS, CCTV, AV systems, and Avaya /Nortel systems. Provide project verification & sign off on daily, weekly, and post-installation checklists, ensuring quality expectations are achieved. Foster an environment of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for efficiency, automation, and enhanced results. Ability to travel across the US to customer locations. Skills & Qualifications: A+ certification Data, audio, and phone cabling standards knowledge, working on ladders and lifts required. Experience in a similar role in a retail environment would be advantageous. Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills. Strong leadership and organizational abilities. Willingness to build professional relationships with staff and clients. Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
