Lead Mitigation Technician / Crew Chief Kingsley Water Damage & Fire Cleanup Full-Time West Columbia, SC Lead From the Front.Build a Career Worth Talking About.At Kingsley Water Damage & Fire Cleanup, the Lead Technician isn't just the most experienced person on a job site -- they're the standard-bearer.The coach.The face our customers see when they're stressed, scared, and trusting us with their home or business.We're looking for someone who's been around enough to know what good looks like -- and is ready to own it.The Role You'll run mitigation job sites from first response to final documentation.That means leading your crew, communicating daily with customers, making real-time decisions, and ensuring every job closes clean -- on time, on standard, and fully documented.This is a frontline leadership seat.You're not just executing tasks -- you're accountable for the outcome.What You'll Own Jobsite Leadership Lead all assigned mitigation projects:water, fire, and storm damage Perform and direct advanced mitigation tasks -- extraction, controlled demo, containment, drying system design and monitoring Enforce IICRC S500/S520 standards and Kingsley SOPs without exception Maintain 100% PPE and safety compliance on every site, every time Customer Experience Be the consistent, professional voice customers hear throughout the project Explain findings, set expectations, give daily updates -- and actually follow through Represent Kingsley Water Damage & Fire Cleanup with the professionalism that earns 5-star reviews and repeat referrals Documentation & Compliance Capture and upload all photos, moisture readings, notes, and job data in Encircle and Monday.com Ensure documentation accuracy supports clean billing and claim approval Escalate anomalies in drying progress -- don't let problems become surprises Team Development Train, coach, and supervise Junior Technicians on technique, safety, and professionalism Delegate appropriately, verify to standard, and hold the line on quality Build the next generation of Kingsley technicians Emergency Response Participate in the EMS on-call rotation -- answer the call, coordinate response, deploy when needed Stage trucks, equipment, and materials for emergency readiness Be storm-ready throughout hurricane season; deploy to large-loss events as directed What You Bring 2years of water/fire mitigation or restoration experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of IICRC S500/S520 standards (certification is a plus -- we'll support you if you're not there yet) Experience leading or mentoring others in a field environment Ability to read a drying report, adjust a system, and document it properly Strong communication -- you can explain a moisture map to a homeowner and coach a new tech in the same afternoon Comfort with digital platforms (Encircle, Monday.com, or similar) Valid driver's license, clean record Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call rotation Why Kingsley Water Damage & Fire Cleanup?
