Opportunity: Doctor-led small animal practice in Sarasota is hiring its next Lead Veterinarian. $140,000 base. No corporate protocols. No production quotas dictating medicine. Open to Florida-licensed DVMs anywhere in the state, with relocation support available for the right candidate. About the Practice: This is an established, well-equipped small animal clinic in Sarasota under new independent ownership. The incoming ownership group is committed to a simple model: hire one excellent doctor, give them full clinical authority, and reinvest in the practice for the long term. Just medicine, practiced the way it should be. The Role Lead clinician and primary medical decision-maker for the practice Set clinical protocols, standards of care, and treatment philosophy Mentor and develop the existing technical and support team Carry a full caseload across small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry Partner directly with ownership on equipment, formulary, and growth decisions Qualifications DVM from an AVMA-accredited institution Active Florida license, or eligibility to obtain one before start date 2+ years of small animal clinical experience Confident in routine surgery, dentistry, and diagnostic workups Leadership presence with staff and strong client communication Location: The practice is based in Sarasota, Florida.
