Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour Clerk Grade 9/10 – Salary range $129,464 to $142,665pa plus super and leave loading About the Role As the Leader, Compliance Systems & Accreditation Programs, you’ll lead a customer-facing service delivery team that supports regulated businesses, certifiers and stakeholders by providing timely, high‑quality advice and efficient program administration. You’ll set the standard for responsive service—ensuring enquiries are triaged effectively, commitments are met, and stakeholders receive clear, consistent guidance in line with legislation, policy and departmental expectations. You’ll oversee the day-to-day delivery and continual improvement of compliance systems and accreditation programs, using data, trends and feedback to strengthen regulatory practice and improve the customer experience. This includes establishing practical procedures, service standards and performance measures (including KPIs), and translating insights into improvements that enhance transparency, consistency and turnaround times. In a high-volume environment with competing priorities, you’ll guide your team to deliver quality outcomes, manage sensitive or complex matters, and build strong working relationships across internal business units and external partners—ensuring the team is known for professionalism, reliability and customer-focused service. About the Team The Licensing and Programs Branch sits within the Agriculture and Biosecurity Division and plays a key role in protecting New South Wales’ agriculture, food systems, and natural resources. The branch coordinates policy and operational advice across intergovernmental agriculture and biosecurity forums and administers a diverse range of licensing and accreditation programs. These programs support animal welfare, biosecurity, food safety, industrial hemp, and the poppy industry, ensuring regulatory frameworks are implemented in an effective manner, aligned with community and industry expectations.
