Our professional staff plays an important role in the Firm’s continued growth and success. The Albany office is seeking a full time Legal Assistant to join our Litigation Practice Group. What You’ll Do Provide administrative and organizational support to multiple attorneys within the Litigation practice. Prepare, edit, and file pleadings, motions, affidavits, answers, discovery documents, and other legal correspondence relating to State and Federal Court litigation matters. Maintain and manage litigation calendars, including court deadlines and scheduling matters. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, internal staff, and external parties. Maintain and organize electronic and physical files, schedules, and matter related information. Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including mail, emails, calls, and case related materials. Assist attorneys and staff with day-to-day tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assignments. Prioritize multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Perform other related duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring 2+ years of relevant experience, in a law firm preferred. Experience with New York State and/or Federal Court filing procedures and rules preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software. Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage competing deadlines. Professional judgment, problem solving ability, and strong decision making skills. Proactiveness, resourcefulness, and a strong work ethic. Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external clients. Four-year college degree preferred, but not required. Ability to work overtime, as necessary. Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package, and a collaborative, friendly environment. Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
