Job Description
Seeking a legal assistant/paralegal/office manager jack of all trades, to work at small law firm.This would be a great job for a new grad who wants to be at a law firm for at least two years, see what the law firm world is like, or an experienced paralegal too.The practice areas are in family law, estate planning, and probate/trust administration, with real estate/deeds and elder law thrown in too.The right candidate must have strong attention to detail, a good writer and editor, and be willing to take training on policies, procedures and formatting.Must like working with people (clients, court clerks, etc), as job includes talking to potential clients, intake and scheduling same.Docketing, document management, information gathering from clients/drafts of initial motions, pleadings and estate planning documents/notarize documents as necessary and requested.office duties include invoicing/paying bills of firm, and other tasks assigned.Experience in Word, Adobe, Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, Dropbox Clio and Outlook are all helpful, but training available.Pay commensurate with experience.40 hours a week.Must be willing to work overtime 1-3 times/weekends a year if office gets busy and has large deadlines or hearings, but generally our goal is work/life balance.Benefits such as reimbursement for health care, or Health Savings accounts are added as probationary period of training ends.this is not a remote position - given need to meet with clients to notarize and witness documents, meet and greet for appointments.In fun contemporary office space in Denver, Colorado, centrally located near North High School/I25 and Speer in NW Denver.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$25.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Benefits:Health insurance Education:Associate (Preferred) Experience:Microsoft Office:2 years (Required) License/Certification:Notary License (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
