About YOU: In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working in Personal Injury Law. We are a very busy large Personal Injury Law Firm looking for a detail oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our wonderful team. The ideal candidate would exhibit the following qualities: a person who enjoys helping others, is an excellent communicator, a hard worker who enjoys working both as a team and independently. The right candidate would have the ability to multitask, be reliable, maintain a great attitude, be empathetic, diligent, organized, and be a go-getter that wants to take initiative. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to our legal teams, and assist in various legal tasks. The Role: This position supports the Referrals & Liens Department within a pre-litigation personal injury practice. The Legal Assistant will handle a moderate to high-volume caseload and serve as a key point of communication between attorneys, clients, co-counsel, medical providers, and lien holders. Responsibilities include: Assist in all aspects of personal injury cases from intake through pre-suit Prepare, organize, and maintain electronic case files and file links in accordance with firm protocols Ensure all required documents (including intakes and supporting materials) are included in file submissions Manage referral case intake and communications with co-counsel Track and manage lien-related documentation, including medical liens and letters of protection Communicate with clients, medical providers, lien holders, insurance companies, and other legal professionals Gather records, police reports, and other case-related documents Review, analyze, and summarize case files and medical records Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes Calendar deadlines and assist with task tracking Draft and send routine correspondence and follow-ups Coordinate medical treatment for clients as needed and escalate issues when appropriate Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: College degree preferred, but not required Prior legal or personal injury experience is a plus, but not required Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team Why Join Us: Long-term position with opportunity for growth and advancement Competitive compensation and benefits package Supportive, close-knit team environment Hands-on training and development Excellent opportunity for someone looking to break into the legal field and build a career.
