Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, estate plans, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail Manage legal case files and document management systems like Smokeball to ensure accurate filing, data entry, and retrieval of case information Conduct document review and assist with support activities such as title clearance, estate proofreading, and petition proofreading. Support attorneys with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and providing executive administrative support Perform thorough proofreading and transcription of legal documents to maintain high standards of accuracy Facilitate communication with clients, courts, vendors, and other stakeholders via phone etiquette and professional correspondence Experience Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience in a law office setting is required Familiarity with a broad spectrum of law practice areas including estate planning, workers' compensation law, personal inj is highly desirable Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis is essential Experience with document management systems like iManage or similar platforms is preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence Knowledge of project management principles within a legal context is advantageous Demonstrated clerical skills including filing, data entry, phone etiquette, proofreading, transcription and general administrative support This role is paid and offers an engaging environment where your contributions directly impact the success of our legal team.
