Job Description
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, BWC Terminals is a premier provider of bulk liquid storage and logistics services to refiners, manufacturers, and distributors of bulk liquids in North America. The Company consists of 22 sites with over twenty million barrels of storage capacity. The BWC Terminals facilities are equipped to store a wide range of petroleum, chemical, renewables, and agricultural products. Additional information about BWC Terminals is available at www.bwcterminals.com . Our Legal Intern position is based in our corporate office in Downtown Houston. Intern Job Responsibilities: Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service. Rotates through our divisions of responsibility and provides ideas to grow and improve the business. Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship. Engages with leadership and provides support. Provide suggestions to management for improving internal processes. Learns and becomes knowledgeable on internal software systems. Assists in creating reports as directed by management. Skills: Detail-oriented student with strong research, writing, and analytical skills, sound judgment, and a professional, business-minded approach. Ability to assist with contract review, legal research, compliance projects, document management, and preparation of internal summaries and presentations. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, able to manage multiple assignments, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion. A successful intern will also bring curiosity, initiative, and a genuine interest in how legal guidance supports business strategy and day-to-day operations. Requirements: Currently enrolled in Undergraduate degree program Coursework or interest in contract law, corporate law, employment law, compliance, data privacy, intellectual property, or other areas relevant to an in-house legal department is a plus.
