Legal Recruiting Specialist (Summer Associate Program Focus) Location: Los Angeles / Santa Monica, CA Salary Range: $97,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience) Join the operations team of a leading AmLaw 100 firm and play a central role in shaping the next generation of legal talent. Position Overview The Legal Recruiting Specialist is responsible for executing law school recruiting efforts and managing the firm’s summer associate program in Southern California. This individual serves as a key representative of the firm to candidates and law schools, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience throughout the recruiting lifecycle. Key Responsibilities On-Campus Recruiting Coordinate and manage all aspects of the on-campus interview process, including scheduling screening and callback interviews Review candidate materials and contribute to recruiting strategy discussions Track recruiting metrics and prepare reports for internal stakeholders Summer Associate Program Lead the planning and execution of the Los Angeles and Santa Monica summer associate programs Coordinate program logistics, including orientation, events, and attendance tracking Manage workflow assignments and oversee evaluation processes, including mid-summer and final reviews Partner with internal teams and external vendors to deliver a structured and engaging program experience Law School Engagement Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen relationships with target law schools Coordinate participation in campus events, student organization programming, and career services initiatives Serve as a primary contact for law students and career services professionals Special Projects Support broader recruiting and talent initiatives as needed, contributing to process improvements and strategic projects Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required 3–5 years of relevant professional experience; prior experience in legal or campus recruiting strongly preferred Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization High level of discretion and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information Proactive problem-solver with sound judgment Availability to attend evening events and occasional travel as needed Benefits The firm offers a competitive compensation package along with a comprehensive benefits program, which includes: Medical, dental, and vision coverage Life and disability insurance Retirement savings plan Paid time off and firm holidays Professional development and growth opportunities Wellness programs and employee assistance resources Additional perks and employee discount programs
