Job SummaryThis position involves investigating, evaluating, and resolving liability and casualty claims with professionalism and attention to detail in a fair, reasonable, and timely manner.Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment and decision-making ability, and the capacity to manage assigned claims independently and efficiently are required.Responsibilities Investigate liability, casualty, and med pay claims Coverage analysis, liability determination and damage assessment Interpret and apply policy language to specific loss situations Conduct interviews with policyholders, claimants, and witnesses Determine reserves needed and ensure they are adequately adjusted throughout the life of the file Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys Identify subrogation opportunities Maintain accurate, detailed claim files and document all activity in compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements File and answer arbitration submissions for subrogation claims Requirements Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and analysis skills Ability to manage multiple claims efficiently and independently Strong knowledge of insurance policy coverages, claims investigation, and settlement practices Proficiency with Microsoft Office Bachelor's degree 2years' experience in casualty claims adjusting is preferred Job Type:Full-time Pay:$60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Benefits:401(k) 401(k) 6% Match 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance On-site gym Paid time off Prescription drug insurance Vision insurance Experience:casualty claims adjusting:2 years (Required) Ability to Commute:Madison, WI 53717 (Required) Ability to Relocate:Madison, WI 53717:Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
