Job Description
Funeral Director ( Michigan License or Ability to reciprocate license): Eineder Funeral Homes, a family owned and operated, multi-location funeral firm in Michigan serving the communities of Brooklyn, Manchester, Michigan Center and the surrounding areas, is seeking a conscientious licensed full or part time funeral director (Hourly or Salary position) proficient in all aspects of funeral service. This position interacts directly with families during their time of need and is responsible for creating and maintaining a premier level of client family satisfaction with a personal touch. Oversee, direct, and coordinate all aspects of funeral services including, visitation, services, burials, and cremations Caring of deceased including embalming, restoring, dressing, cosmetology, casketing, transporting and possible other requests Meeting and assisting grieving families to prepare and coordinate services while showing continual care, concern and professionalism Contacting service personnel and outside vendors to coordinate merchandise and arrange facilities within a timely manner Overseeing and directing scheduled funeral and memorial services Being knowledgeable with funeral home policies and guidelines as well as all services offered to families Supporting and assisting co-workers to ensure the highest quality, most professional, most ethical service Daily internal communication via text, phone and email Proficient with Microsoft Suite and other internal technology Requirements & Qualifications: Must have the State of Michigan funeral licensure or the ability to reciprocate license from another state Ability to manage a caseload while creating an exceptional customer experience Excellent driving skills and record Proficient in embalming and cosmetics Be passionate about and committed to delivering outstanding service to the deceased and their families Have excellent verbal and written communications skills Detail-oriented, follow up and be well organized Be able to perform well in dynamic and sometimes stressful conditions Thorough understanding of laws related to funerals and funeral arrangements Familiar with a wide range of religious xmvmafu or cultural funeral services and customs Be able to stand for extended periods of time Be able to move a minimum of 50lbs. Maintain prompt and regular attendance Be available to be on call, work evenings and weekends and occasional scheduled holidays Certify and proof death certificates in EDRS (training available) Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Experience: Microsoft Office: 2 years (Preferred) Funeral directing: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Funeral Director License (Required) Ability to Commute: Brooklyn, MI 49230 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Brooklyn, MI 49230: Relocate with an employer provided relocation package (Preferred) Work Location: In person
