Job Title: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Job Category: Acute – Allied Location: New York, NY 10016 (Onsite) Employment Type: Contract (13 Weeks) Compensation: $68–72/hour (Traveler) $55–60/hour (Local) Schedule: Shift: Day Shift Hours: 35 hours/week Schedule: Monday–Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Weekend Requirement: None On-Call Requirement: None Job Overview: We are seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to provide comprehensive psychosocial support services in an inpatient hospital setting. This role involves patient assessments, supportive counseling, discharge planning, and coordination of care to ensure smooth transitions and optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychosocial assessments for patients and their families Provide supportive therapy and emotional support Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care Facilitate referrals to community resources and support services Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Support patients throughout hospitalization and transition planning Ensure adherence to hospital policies and social work standards Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) Active Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license (New York State) Experience & Skills: Minimum 1 year of LMSW experience required Hospital experience preferred Experience in inpatient medicine, surgery (med/surg), or rehabilitation settings preferred Strong psychosocial assessment and counseling skills Experience in discharge planning and referral coordination Excellent communication and documentation skills Additional Information: Full-time contract role Acute care hospital setting Fast-paced, team-oriented work environment Requires strong patient coordination and communication skills For more details reach at jknox@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 732-791-4827.
