Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical terminology and ICD coding (ICD-9 and ICD-10) to determine appropriate treatment plans. Deliver individual and expressive art group therapy sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and art therapy. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety during emergencies. Manage case documentation with meticulous attention to HIPAA compliance, medical records accuracy, and detailed medical documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on patient care plans, including social workers, medical professionals, educators in special education settings, and research teams engaged in clinical research projects. Provide specialized support for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, chronic pain conditions, gender issues counseling, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and geriatrics. Utilize telehealth platforms to extend services remotely while maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality. Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with medical terminology updates, ICD coding changes, CPT coding procedures for billing purposes, and emerging best practices in behavioral health. Requirements A valid license in mental health counseling, social work, psychology or related fields. Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and group therapy. Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention and crisis management within clinical or inpatient settings. Experience working with children & family counseling as well as individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation; familiarity with CPT coding for billing is a plus. Strong skills in patient assessment, medical documentation accuracy, and medical records management. Experience with telehealth platforms to deliver remote mental health services effectively. Ability to handle sensitive situations involving trauma or PTSD care with professionalism and compassion. Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for supporting diverse populations across outpatient clinics or inpatient facilities.
