Job Responsibilities Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess each patient's individual needs and craft specific therapy strategies to help them reach their functional objectives Deliver Therapeutic Services: Apply evidence-based interventions to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living tasks Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work in harmony with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to provide comprehensive and integrated care Guide Patients and Families: Instruct patients and their families on therapeutic techniques to ensure continued progress outside of therapy sessions Document and Evaluate Progress: Monitor treatment outcomes and modify plans as necessary to keep patients on their path to recovery Qualifications Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution Encouragement for further education and professional certifications Licenses Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) cert
