Job Responsibilities Create Tailored Treatment Approaches: Assess individual patient needs and design personalized therapy plans to steer them towards achieving their functional goals Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Utilize proven methods to enhance patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and daily living skills Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work alongside fellow therapists, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance to patients and their caregivers about therapy strategies to encourage continued progress at home Track Patient Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and adjust therapy as needed, ensuring patients stay on their intended path to recovery Education Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution Continuing education or post-graduate certifications are encouraged and supported Required Certifications Current active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)
