Job Description
Brennan Behavior Group is contracting with a licensed psychologist on a 1099 basis to conduct diagnostic evaluations for children and adults — including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, and Specific Learning Disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia). We are a multidisciplinary practice serving the greater New Orleans area with integrated ABA, therapy, and speech teams. The contractor owns the full evaluation arc — clinical interview, structured observation, interpretation of standardized data administered by a clinic-provided psychometrician, formal written report, and family feedback. The psychologist controls the manner and means of clinical work and sets their own schedule within clinic hours. Flexible within clinic hours on site in New Orleans LA, Monday-Friday 9:30am-4:30pm. What You'll Do Conduct structured clinical interviews with parents and patients covering development, adaptive skills, behavior, and history. Administer gold-standard instruments, including the ADOS, and lead play-based observation. Direct psychometricians who administer standardized cognitive, academic, and psychological measures. Author integrated written reports with recommendations for school accommodations, tutoring, or clinical intervention (target ~6-week turnaround for autism evaluations). Deliver feedback sessions to families and coordinate with internal ABA, therapy, and speech teams. Required Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in Clinical, School, or Counseling Psychology from an accredited program. Active, unrestricted Louisiana psychology license. Trained to administer and interpret the ADOS. Experience with comprehensive psychoeducational batteries and strong clinical writing. Current professional liability/malpractice insurance maintained at contractor's expense. Ability to operate as a self-employed contractor (W-9, self-employment taxes); able to pass a background check. Preferred ADOS-2 research-reliability certification. Experience with both pediatric and adult evaluations. Familiarity with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia and the school accommodations process. Engagement Terms This is an independent contractor (1099) engagement, not W-2 employment. The contractor is responsible for self-employment taxes, malpractice insurance, and licensure. No employee benefits are provided. A written contractor agreement will govern the engagement. Brennan Behavior Group is an equal opportunity employer and contractor.
