General Summary: Provides direct patient care to patients and assists doctors as needed. Provides leadership, direction, and support to medical assistants on patient related issues. Assists fellow employees in providing the highest quality, personalized patient care and maintains a positive working relationship with the health care team. Supports the Gonzaba coordinated care model by working with other GMG providers and support departments/functions to ensure a patient-centered approach is provided at all times. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. General Requirements: All duties performed will be done accurately and in a timely manner. Provides leadership, direction, and support to medical assistance and LVN's on the issues of outpatient care, medications, or scheduling. Assist different teams as necessary including performing the duties of other personnel as needed. Participates in educational programs as needed. May need to travel to support patient care at another GMG location. At times the LVN will need to float to other pods (in the clinic or another location), during these times all pod responsibilities should be completed including but not limited to triage, discharge, phone notes, refills, call confirmations, etc. Exercise tact and courtesy when dealing with patients, visitors, providers, and co-workers. Must always adhere to customer service expectations including in-person and virtual (via telephone, or telehealth applications) communication. Maintains strict confidentiality.
